ANNUAL MEETING AND DINNER WAS A GREAT SUCCESS
Our Annual Meeting and Dinner on April 2 was a joyous occasion to celebrate our community, appreciate the contributions of our transitioning board members, and raise a glass to the success of our 2026-2027 board slate.
The private dining room at Fior d’Italia was filled with fellow Dwellers as we ate a delicious three-course meal against the backdrop of Tuscan scenery. The room represented the diversity of our community with new members breaking bread with long-time supporters; fresh connections were made and existing relationships deepened as we passed plates at five long tables.
Our program began with remarks from outgoing President Nick Ferris, and awards were shared with artist John Mattos (Artistic Legacy Award) and chef and restaurateur Tony Gemignani (Outstanding Service to The Hill Award). Both have planted their roots firmly in North Beach and generously support our neighborhood through times of both strife and success. It was moving to hear their deep connection to our community and their commitment to our continued thriving. Both are giants in their fields, yet they showed up at the table as neighbors.
Our new President Peter Stevens led a rousing chant to ground us in the power of our collective voice and action. With raucous applause, we voted in our new slate of board members. Separate articles with photos, names, and bios introduce our new additions. You’ll notice some existing members have moved on to different roles. And you can find a full set of bios at THD.org.
We are confident this iteration of our leadership will steward THD through this next term with the compassion, enthusiasm, grace, and style for which our community is known. We are so excited for what’s to come and deeply grateful for the legacy of leadership that has gotten our organization to this place.
